If I were to sum myself up based on what my friends and family have called me over the years. They would say that I am a young ambitious digital nomad living life managing multiple businesses.

At 25 years old, I currently managed 5 different side hustles and run a medium-scale business as Founder/CEO. My journey toward financial success is by no means easy which you will come to learn as you read along.

During my free time, I enjoy writing content on the side about my views and opinion of the world. Although I do make some income writing, it is just a hobby for me and I don’t think many writers can even pull 6-figures in this type of business.

So here’s my story!

Early Days

During the 2008 financial crisis, the effect of businesses going under and workers getting unemployed was my first reality of the importance of money.

My dad was a business owner and during the 2 years of the recession, the business was stretched out financially. The unforgettable moment that hit me most was my dad having to withdraw from my savings account just to make ends meet and to keep the business afloat.

It was during that pinnacle moment that I told myself I would never want to be tied down by money ever again.

This unhealthy obsession of trying to earn enough money fast at a young age was ingrained into my brain. I knew I needed to find some way to grow my money faster.

I started my side hustle businesses such as pet boarding, vending machine, and coaching. While many of them failed, they taught me valuable lessons on how to be a better business owner.

During all my ventures, I managed to save more than 80% of my income and invest almost all of it. I read and research heavily into the stock market, reading 3 books a week. Needlessly to say, I was a BIG NERD!😅

On my 24th birthday, I build myself 4 different streams of income making over $6,000 a month for a student. Pretty good if you ask me!

Why I build many Side Hustles for Myself

If someone were to ask me how to start a business, I would recommend them to start a side hustle first. A side hustle is generally the smaller version of a business and usually doesn’t require much business thought on scaling it.

That is why I usually recommend people who want to find an additional source of income to start out by building a side hustle first before jumping the gun and creating a business.

The greatest benefit of starting a side hustle is that it doesn't require you to constantly feed it like a business. I can work whenever I want and the risk of it failing is super low.

If I were to recommend to people what type of side hustles to try out. I would highly recommend pet boarding, coaching, and online businesses. These types of side hustle skills are transferable and the lesson learned is quite impactful.

The Job that allows me to work with Billionaires💵

After my school years, I ventured into Real Estate Analyst because I love the idea of investment and using real estate to make money.

Even though I was 24 at that time, I became quite well-known in Singapore as an Analyst that doesn’t solely focus on local real estate. I broadened my thought process, looking into real estate markets such as the UK, Thailand, Indonesia, and Dubai. This made my company at that time made full trust in my decision to shift their headquarters to Dubai to tackle the real estate market there.

My success caught on to a number of real estate companies and they decided to scout me. That was how I became a Property Manager and within the first year, I managed over $100 million in properties by UHNW’s(Ultra high networth)individuals.

Why I decided to Quit

I enjoyed working as a Property Manager. Not only was it an interesting challenge for me, but I also had the opportunity to work with and talk to many fellow billionaires. This made me appreciate and understand more about how to properly value money.

However, my journey as a Property Manager was affected when I got into an accident which resulted in me having to get hospitalized. Although the experience was terrible, the pain was my blessing in disguise.

I was given 3 months of paid leave to take a break from work. During that time, I pushed on improving my side hustle income as I now have plenty of time to work for myself.

To my surprise, this setback helped me realize I could actually quit my job and work full-time as a digital nomad already. That was when after I have helped settle most of my stuff at work, I quiet quit my job.

I am now a digital nomad traveling around the world while working on my business. Do I miss working a full-time job? Not really!

I believe ultimately the purpose of working to build wealth is knowing how to properly spend it with your loved ones. After quitting my job, I happily brought my parents to Korea to enjoy a nice holiday.
